How we work

No surprises. No jargon. Just a clear path to launch.

Five stages, each with a timeframe and a deliverable you can hold us to. You will always know what is happening this week and what happens next.

The five stages

Every stage has a date and something you keep.

Nothing here is billed by the hour or open-ended. You always know which stage you are in, what lands at the end of it, and when the next one starts.

  1. Discovery Call

    45 minutes, week 1

We work out what your website is meant to do for the business, who it needs to convince, and what is currently getting in the way. No pitch deck.

    • Written summary of goals and target customer
    • Audit of what your current site is costing you
    • Fixed scope and fixed launch date
  2. Strategy & Wireframe

    Week 1–2

Structure before styling. We map every page, the order of the argument on each one, and where the enquiry happens, then agree it with you before any design work starts.

    • Sitemap and page-by-page outline
    • Greyscale wireframes of key pages
    • Messaging and CTA plan
  3. Design

    Week 2–3

Full visual design of every template, on desktop and mobile. You see real content in real layouts, never a lorem-ipsum mock-up.

    • Designs for all page templates
    • Mobile designs alongside desktop
    • Two rounds of revisions included
  4. Build & Test

    Week 3–5

Hand-built, fast, semantic code. Tested on real devices, checked against Core Web Vitals and WCAG AA contrast before anyone sees it.

    • Responsive build with CMS where needed
    • Speed, accessibility and cross-device testing
    • Analytics and form tracking set up
  5. Launch & Grow

    Week 5 onward

We launch, watch the numbers, and keep improving. You get a walkthrough of how to run it, and support that answers the same day.

    • Launch checklist and redirects
    • Handover walkthrough and documentation
    • 30 days post-launch support included

Assurances

4 clauses · in every Craftnor proposal

What we commit to in writing.

Craftnor terms of engagement

Page 1 of the proposal

  1. A fixed launch date, agreed on day one

Your date is set before we start and written into the proposal. If we slip it for reasons on our side, the final invoice drops by 10%.

  2. Two full revision rounds at design stage

Changes are expected, not penalised. Revisions are built into the timeline so nothing feels rushed or extra.

  3. A named person, not a ticket queue

You work directly with the people building your site. Same-day replies on working days, with calls arranged around your time zone.

  4. 30 days of support after launch

Snags, tweaks and questions are covered for a month after go-live at no extra cost, whether or not you take a care plan.

Signed

None of this sits in small print. It is on the first page of the proposal, before the price.
